Hunger Games
By Suzanne Collins
Recently I have re read one of my favorite books it is the first book I a wonderful trilogy. The Hunger Games is about a futuristic society in which there are 12 districts that are forced to put all the names of the children eight through 18 years old into a drawing. From the drawing two names are drawn for each district one boy and one girl. These children then become tributes in the Hunger Games a yearly competition to the death that is not over until one lone tribute the Victor is crowned the winner. Katniss Everdeen flips the games on heir head in this book, and I enjoyed every singe page of the book.
This book made me wonder what it would be like to compete in a battle to the death? Would I win? Would I have any allies? What will the arena be made of? My brain flew right into a million and one questions, So I decided to take a trip into my imagination and here is what I found. It was me Boots on hair frizzed and messed up matted into knots that I might never get undone. I herd a noise and turned knife in my hand ready for anything and luckily I had my knife ready the gigantic creature with snarling teeth lunges toward me. I let it take me to the ground and right as it tries to pounce on my I stab it in the chest hearing the ribs crush under the pressure of my knife. Pulling my knife up out off its chest I clean off the blood on my jacket. Then the illusion was gone I was back to my normal reality of school and homework. It would be such a cool experience to live through that traumatic of an event.
this quote that comes from the movie I believe doesn't really have anything to do with the above story it made me think of myself. " You have about as much charm as a dead slug"

This picture is from the movie and Katniss is about to start the Hunger Games. She is nervous and scared, but who could blame her.
